knightsfalling: ([Dr.H] Billy Depressing Shot)
Title: One Last Entry
Author: [livejournal.com profile] redknightalex
Fandom: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog
Rating: PG
Pairing/Characters: Billy (Dr. Horrible), Captain Hammer, mentions of Billy/Penny
Word Count: ~1,500
Genre: Character Introspection, Angst
Warnings: Mentioned character death
Disclaimer: Owned by Joss Whedon and company. I make no profit, nor would I want to, and I'm just borrowing these amazing characters. No infringement intended, just pure flattery.
Summary: Dr. Horrible's last blog post. Or is it Billy's first?

Author's Note: Something I've been playing around in my head for a while. Now it's out and about so it can play with the others. Yeah, that sounded awkward.

knightsfalling: ([DW] Adelaide Brooke [WoM])
Title: Explosions in the Sky
Author: [livejournal.com profile] redknightalex
Rating: PG
Warnings: Character Death
Pairing/Characters: Ed Gold, Adelaide Brooke
Setting: Series 4 Specials - “The Waters of Mars”
Genre: Character Introspection
Word Count: 1,330
Disclaimer: Own nothing, once again, I'm just playing around with characters I felt were worthy of a bit more study than what the BBC had decided upon.
Summary: Ed Gold had always been fiercely loyal to his captain, the one who had chosen him to explore the stars with. But then one day came, an explosion in Cargo Bay 13, that changed their relationship forever, and he would never forgive himself for letting it happen. Nor would she.

Author's Note: I've always wondered how the relationship between Ed Gold and Adelaide Brooke developed into the one on-screen and, to be honest, I doubt it had anything to do with a romantic fling. That would be too simple for a woman like Adelaide and too low for a man like Ed. Something else must have happened. This was what my brain came up with during a massive heat wave where I live. Commentary will probably be coming at some point as a bunch of the details had to be gleamed off of the TARDIS wiki, which had much more detailed information regarding the Internet posts in the episode than I could gather.

[He woke to] the sound of warning klaxons ringing throughout the confined space. )

Title: The Last Act of Living is Dying
Author: redknightalex
Fandom: Doctor Who
Rating: PG
Pairing/Characters: Ten/Rose, established relationship
Warnings: Character Death
Spoilers/Setting: Series 2
Word Count: 1,000
Disclaimer: I own nothing. The BBC and other creative forces own these characters. I just play around with them.
Summary: In the end, you always run out of time.

Author's Notes: Written for challenge 1 at [livejournal.com profile] doctor_rose_las, prompt “something borrowed.” I had to edit out around 300-400 words to twiddle it down to 1,000 words exactly (the limit) but it somehow worked.

How ironic that they would be brought together by the aftermath of his own struggles only to be torn apart by the same destructive mechanisms that he had once created. )
knightsfalling: ([DW] Adelaide Brooke [WoM])
Title: Controlling Fate
Author: [livejournal.com profile] redknightalex
Fandom: Doctor Who
Rating: PG-13 (see warnings)
Pairing/Characters: Adelaide Brooke, the Doctor, crew of Bowie Base 1
Word Count: 650
Setting: “Waters of Mars” only
Warnings: Suicide. It's obvious from the end of the episode but thought I'd give you another heads-up anyway.
Disclaimer: If only I were this brilliant...this all belongs to the BBC and TPTB.
Summary: Adelaide Brooke was always in control of her fate and, even if it faltered for a minute, she still made her last choice.

Author's Notes: Something quick I wrote down after rewatching the episode. No beta so all mistakes are of my own making.

Title: The Shiver, The Shake, The Tremor
Author: [livejournal.com profile] redknightalex
Fandom: Doctor Who
Rating: PG
Characters/Pairings: Ten/Rose
Warnings: Some bloody bits and the pseudo character death
Setting/Spoilers: Series 2, “Doomsday”
Word Count: 1,050
Disclaimer: I own nothing and all of this is the fault work of RTD, the BBC, and other marvelous people. I make absolutely no money what-so-ever from this piece.
Summary: The Doctor made his way to the TARDIS, stumbling over dead bodies, stepping through the carnage that had happened the day that would go down in history as the "Battle of Canary Warf”, and it wasn't until he reached into his pockets for the keys that he noticed his shaking hands.

Author's Notes: This is what happens when you watch “Doomsday” all over again after having a bad day.

knightsfalling: ([TW] Jack Big Damn hero)
Title: Three Words
Author: [livejournal.com profile] redknightalex
Fandom: Doctor Who, Torchwood
Rating: G
Pairing/Characters: Jack/Ianto, Tenth Doctor
Warnings: Mentioned canon character death
Spoilers: Torchwood's "Children of Earth" and Doctor Who's "End of Time Part 2".
Genre: Character Introspection, Pseudo Fix-It
Word Count: 100
Disclaimer: It all belongs to the BBC, RTD, and others, not me. I gain no monetary value from this.
Summary: As a prompt response from [livejournal.com profile] thebuttonontop for Jack/Ianto and maybe some Ten. Basically a missing scene in "End of Time Part 2", right before we see Jack in the bar (although that's the setting).

Author's Notes: Another 100 word long, proper drabble! *is shocked* Did this one quick for [livejournal.com profile] thebuttonontop as she needed a little something. I make no apologies for any tears that may or may not happen.
